We fell in love with the tweed stitch pattern for a couple of reasons – one it’s a deceptively easy pattern to learn and secondly it looks like complicated color work when in fact you are only using one color at a time. There is also a decorative seam that goes through middle, just to keep things interesting. It is easy to change the look of the boot toppers by wearing them with the black or white ribbing showing. The tweed stitch looks great in many different forms, so we just couldn’t stop at designing boot toppers we had to add a hat and fingerless gloves to the collection. You will custom design the fit by taking your measurements, creating a gauge swatch and then calculating how many stitches to cast on. If this sounds intimidating, don’t worry we help you every step of the way.

Boot Topper- Yarn: Blue Sky Alpacas, or any sport weight yarn. 110 yards each of main color and contrasting color, 50 yards each of color A and color B. Colors: main color (MC)-cream (504), contrasting color (CC)-black (510), color A-grey (507), and color B-red (511).
Needle: Size 3 and 5 double points or size needed to obtain gauge.

Hat-Yarn: Berrocco Vintage Color A-5179 chocolate, Color B-5104 mushroom, Color C-51181 Ruby, Color D-5105 Oats. The stripe section only uses a small amount of yarn so you can use left over scraps and then you only need to buy two colors for the main tweed pattern section.
Needles: Size 6 and 8-16” long circular needles.

Wrist Warmers- Yarn: Blue Sky Alpacas Sport, main Color(MC)-brown 506, 110 yds, contrasting color (CC)- Blue Sky Melange Dijon 807, 110 yds.
Needles: Size 3 and 5 double points.
