The triskele, three interlocking spirals, is a Celtic symbol taken to denote earth, sea and sky, or the interlocking, never-ending spiral of life. Ancient triskele spirals can be found at various Neolithic and Megalithic sites, most notably at Newgrange, Ireland.

This mitten, knit with two different coloured strands of yarn, is super-warm and cosy.

Difficulty rating: low to medium; it is a pretty quick and easy knit.

Size: Medium Adult; note: the mitten width can be increased if necessary, instructions are included.

Tension: approximately 28 stitches per 10cm, using 3mm needles.

Materials: two differently coloured yarns, approximately 50g of each colour, 100g in total, to make both mittens. Yarn weight: thickish 4ply/thinnish DK; our LCA is perfect for these mittens.

Uses 3mm double pointed knitting needles.

This pattern includes written instructions plus a full colour chart for each mitten.
