Introducing True Blue Kangaroo! This critter reeks of Australian patriotism. The Kangaroo is the largest of the macropod family and this roo is about 30cm/12 inches tall from head to toe. If you look at the last photo you can see how True Blue compares to the Wallaby Joeys which are a separate pattern.

The pattern gives crochet instructions for an adult Kangaroo with or without a pouch. Male kangaroos dont have a pouch as it is the female who carries the joey. The gum leaf neck tie sets her off.

Instructions are provided in Australian/English and American terms. Materials used include 12ply bulky/chunky weight yarn, with a 4.5mm (7) or H hook. This makes for a sturdy kangaroo which is a nice sized kids toy. By making your own childrens toys you can be sure they are safe.
