In Portland, we’re all about bridges. The Hawthorne Bridge, which connects two very important parts of town, is the most recognizable and the oldest. Its trusses define the skyline of our beloved city, and its vertical lift is the oldest in operation in the US. This hat and cowl set combines knitted trusses, contrasting garter ridges and light color work to evoke some of the classic design elements of the Hawthorne Bridge.

Use two and a half to three skeins for a perfectly matching set, or use just two full skeins (one of each color) and swap main colors between pieces for additional effect.
