This hat is the companion to my Tudor Cowl utilising the same adaptation of one of my favourite stitch patterns, the Tudor Grillwork cable pattern, for knitting in the round.

The sample was made using Colourmart Merino 24/48 Aran Weight (109 yards/100m per 50 grammes). This yarn knits as a worsted weight yarn rather than a traditional aran weight yarn.

The pattern is charted using StitchMastery and includes full written instructions.

Stitches used: k, p, kfb, k2tog, p2tog, RT, simple 4-stitch cables

Small (Child/Teenager) 18”/46 cm circumference, 7.25”/18.5 cm high
Medium (Adult Woman) 20”/51 cm circumference, 8.25”/21 cm high
Large (Adult Man) 22”/56 cm circumference, 9.25”/23.5 cm high
