Only a basic knowledge of crochet is necessary. The pattern is written in UK terms using chain, slip stitch, double crochet, treble crochet and UK double treble crochet stitches. Stitch explanations are included for 3 treble cluster and back post treble crochet stitches.

The pattern starts at the base and is worked in rounds to the top. The strap or handle is worked separately and attached to the sides. A button loop is added for fastening.
