With colourwork throughout the leg and foot of the sock, this pattern is suitable for confident knitters with knowledge of sock knitting, 2 stranded colourwork and shadow wrap short row heel.

They are knitted from the cuff down, with 2 stranded colourwork throughout the leg and foot of the sock. I’ve written instructions to use the Shadow Wrap Short Row heel method, and given a link to Earthstone Girl’s YouTube tutorial for this step.

The pattern is written for 3 sizes, small (UK 5-6), medium (UK 6-7) and large (UK 7-8), but is very easily customizable to fit your own foot. As you’re knitting from the cuff down, you can slip your work over your foot to check the fit of the leg, heel and foot as you go.

Suitable for confident knitters with experience of knitting stranded colourwork and knitting in the round.

I’ve used Drops Nord in Navy, Fog and Lemongrass, you will need approx 100-125mtrs of each of these colours and Malabrigo Ultimate Sock Yarn in Zinnias for the Tulip flowers, around 100mtrs.

Any 4 ply sock yarn will do, however, the gauge I’ve worked to is 32 stitches to 34 rows using 2.5mm double pointed needles - you can use a circular needle and the magic loop method if you prefer, but bear in mind that the pattern is written assuming you’re using DPNs.

I have tried to make this pattern as user friendly as possible, but will provide you with my email address when you download the pattern, if you have any issues at all, do get in touch and I will be happy to help.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my listing, if you have any questions before purchasing, do get in touch.
