Self-striping yarn is fun on its own, but adding a playful Fair Isle motif makes these mitts even more of a pleasure to knit. It’s exciting to watch the stripes shift colors, and in worsted weight, it’s a very quick project.

You’ll use one skein, divided into two balls to make these mitts. Do not work from the outside and inside of the ball at the same time, or your colors will stripe in opposite order. Read the notes in the pattern carefully before you begin, for best results.
