This pattern is made on double pointed needles. It begins with the sole, which is worked flat, then continues in the round for the upper part of bootie. Bootie is constructed first and head, legs and tail are added by picking up stitches on bootie. Head, legs and tail are knitted like an I cord. Pattern also uses a single knitted cast on stitch in middle of work at various places. Elastic thread is used around the top of bootie to maintain fit.

Pattern includes step by step instructions with definitions of abbreviations, I cord instructions with diagram, and knitted cast on instructions with diagram. There are also pictures of various stages of construction.
