This sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down. Knitting starts from a turtleneck in a simple stitch pattern; then some short rows are worked to raise the back neck slightly. After that the 16-wedge yoke is established and worked to sleeve separation. When the underarms are shaped the body is worked in rounds down to hem, which is worked in the same stitch pattern as the neck. Finally sleeve sts are picked up and the sleeves with small gatherings at the cuffs are worked in the round top down.
