Pattern includes instructions for 4 (vintage) sizes: 12, 14, 16 and 18. According to the sizing chart included in the original book (and this digitally restored pattern), these are equivalent to modern-day sizes 8, 10, 12 and 14.

Dress is made using Sport/Baby weight tweed yarn
One pair each needle sizes 1, 3, 5 and 7
Crochet hook size B/1 (2.25 mm)
1 spool elastic thread
4 small buttons

GAUGE:
Size 5 Needles: 6 sts = 1 inch (Seed-St Pattern) or 4 1/2 sts = 1 inch (Broken Rib Pattern)
Size 7 needles: 5 sts = 1 inch (Seed-St Pattern) or 4 sts = 1 inch (Broken Rib Pattern)
