It’s always a bit late for designing a pattern for Valentine’s Day, when I start thinking about it (end of January ) !

So I just grabbed to wonderful contrasting skeins from my stash to get started with some relaxing garter rows. It was so much fun to add all these hearts - twenty four altogether!

Additionally you can practice some short rows, loops and long stitches, which is anything but difficult.

It needs some time, patience and LOVE and to knit a row of hearts, but it’s absolutely worth it and there are many relaxing garter and stockinette rows around too. There is no way to sit down for hours, knitting this heart melting pattern and not being in love!

This shawl is worked from the center top down. Stitches are increased at each side on every other row to give it its characteristic crescent shape.
