These mittens are inspired by a pair of mittens I found in the “Moenchguter Heimatmuseum” (= museum of local history) in Goehren on the island of Ruegen in Germany. You can see the original mittens on the last photo.

For twined knitting, it is recommended to use z-plied yarn.
