“Twelve Dancing Princesses
Went to the ball,
Wore out their dancing shoes there,
One and all…”

Make these adorable dancing slippers for your favorite Princess! Felted and embellished, they’re the perfect knit for gifting, and for keeping.

In this unusual construction, you’ll create the instep ruffles first, then set them aside. The slippers are worked from heel to the toe, with an unusual application of Judy’s Magic cast on: Cast on the center back of the heel, then work back and forth in rows with increases to form the heel shape. Once the heel and foot are complete, add the instep ruffle and join for working in rounds to complete the toe. No seams, and no sewing!

Felt them and add ribbons, buttons, tassels and trims of your choice!
