Emma Vining’s cuddly cowl isn’t just a brilliant way
to keep your neck toasty warm – it’s super stylish too.

This chunky cowl features a beautiful cable and lace detail, which gives a lovely draped look. Being a small project, it’s ideal for practicing lace and cable knitting if you’re new to either of those techniques. The yarn used is super soft because of its alpaca content, and it’s as warm as it is soft. The acrylic content ensures it’s practical too, as you can throw it in the washing machine and you can even tumble dry it (follow the ball band for temperature guidelines).

Stylecraft, Alpaca Chunky (80% acrylic, 20% alpaca, 100g/135m balls), 2 balls of Orchid (6012)
