I designed this twisted neck warmer with a view to it being made and given to elderly ladies in my local nursing home. I had the lovely sunshine yellow wool left over from another project and wanted to see what I could make. I thought about a neck warmer for the elderly and upon doing a little research realised that buttons, ribbons, cords etc were not really wanted due to being fiddly, but I wanted it to stay in place. So when I finished the initial flat piece which looks like a small scarf I decided to twist it and join it with a seam. Now it can be popped over the head and it will stay in place. I used only about 50g of DK wool but I would start with a 100g ball just to make sure you have enough. Of course this pattern can be given to anybody not just for the elderly ladies.

There is no gauge for this pattern, just use the yarn/wool and relevant hook.
