I grew up in a small ranch town on the Big Island of Hawaii. The nearest movie theater was an hour away whereas some of the nicest beaches on the planet were half that. So, you can probably guess where I chose to spend my time.

The Twisted Sand Mitts are a fingerless mitt pattern designed to keep your hands cozy while answering an email or text during your morning commute. They can also be folded down for more dexterity when you need to find something in the bottom of your purse. The stitch pattern may look complicated but is actually quite simple to knit.

The pattern is written for two sizes but is easily adjustable by increasing or decreasing your stitch count. The small will fit wrist sizes of about 6 - 8 inches whereas the large will fit wrist sizes of about 7 - 9 inches.

These mitts pair nicely with the Triple Swell Hat and the Waves on the Sand cowl. Keep your eyes on the horizon for more patterns in this collection.

I hope you enjoy knitting these as much as I loved designing them and that they keep your hands cozy while you dream of building sand castles on a warm tropical beach.
