This sweater fits great, worn loose or wrapped. It’s knit in mostly stockinette stitch, with a wide cable running up each front side, and a narrow random cable and tiny ruffle rambling up the sides and around the back of the neck.

The ruffle is done in reverse stockinette and uses tiny short rows. There are darts front and back for shaping. Lovely cable decreases shape sleeve caps, armholes and front neckline. Shoulders are shaped using short rows.

This pattern has been recently rewritten and reformated to incude a wider range of sizes and a more modern shape - narrower shoulders, a longer length, and sleeves that taper to the ends instead of a bell. Charts have also been color-coded for easier readability.
