This is a variation of my pattern Twister, a cabled hat. Because the pattern has fewer cables it stretches more, for those who may prefer a looser fit.
The yarn that is used in this pattern suggests size 9 needles so it is thicker than standard worsted weight. When substituting yarn if it is thinner you may want to use to strands, and though I haven’t tried a chunky yarn should work, especially if you would like a slouchier hat.
