The final project was done with a Blue Sky Alpacas sport weight yarn. The prototype (shown in cream color) was worked in a worsted weight.

MOD for worsted weight: Change hook to I, or even J depending on your tension and resulting fabric density. Drop starting chain down by 6 sts, and then in the 6 places where you work 2 fpdc in a row, work only 1.
