Whether adventuring into the realms of the Fae folk or simply adventuring in your neighbourhood, a cosy beret is always a good idea.

Knit in soft, Australian-made yarn, Twists of Fae features a fun twisting cable pattern that can easily be worked without a cable needle.

A garter stitch brim gives a very stretchy, soft edging before the stitch pattern begins. The pattern repeat is easy to memorise and requires just the right amount of focus - a great project to wind down with as you work the easy twisted stitches.

Twists of Fae can be worn as a slouchy beanie, or blocked on a plate to form a classic beret shape.

YARN
Fibre Arts Shed High Fae
(90% Wool, 10% recycled Sari silk; 180m skein)
2 x skeins
Or 100g 4ply/fingering weight yarn or light 5ply/sport weight yarn with similar meterage to achieve gauge.

NEEDLES
3.25mm/US 3 needles of your preferred style for knitting in-the-round (ie. 40cm/16” circular, long circular for Magic Loop method or double pointed needles)
With a beret, you have some leeway with gauge - if your knitting is too firm, go up a needle size; if too loose, go down a size.
