This simple cable knit headband / ear warmer pattern is a fun way to learn cable knitting. No complicated chart is included, as simple step-by-step written instructions allow you to create this stretchy little cable hat with ease.

The hat is knit in the round on circular needles. You may also substitute DPNs if you prefer.

The pattern was designed with Caron Simply Soft, but any worsted weight yarn can be substituted into the pattern. I especially love it with Malabrigo Rios. For this ear warmer, I suggest using a soft yarn fiber acrylic, wool, silk, alpaca, or a soft fiber blend. Be sure to check your gauge when substituting yarn.

Included are complete instructions for all sizes: Adult, Child, and Toddler/Baby. Because this headband is quite stretchy, one of the three sizes will fit almost everyone you knit for.
