This is the perfect project to use up some leftover yearn. This cowl uses 1/2 a 100 gram skein in Heather Grey Lamb’s Pride Worsted Wool, and 1/3 a 100 gram skein in Regal Purple, Lamb’s Pride Worsted Wool. The colors are knit in a combination of seed stitch, stockinette and reverse stockinette, and you can adjust the pattern easily if you prefer a wider cowl (or have more yarn to use!).

The finished measurements are 6” by 40”. It hangs beautifully as a scarf-alternative, or looks lovely wrapped around the neck.

The unexpected colour and stitch combinations make it fun to knit, and interesting to the eye. Dramatic colour combinations (like the grey and purple) are striking in this pattern, but more subtle pairings would look equally beautiful.
