What a wonderful idea for a tree decoration! You buy a 12 inch Styrofoam cone, then knit the “ rings” that slip over the tree! This makes it for easy dismantling and packing up, when the Holidays are over! The rings slip on and off easily. It stores easily, so the ruffles will not get damaged as they would if they were sewn on! Add your own pompon’s as we did, or add ribbon bows, or tiny ornaments to decorate! Uses worsted weight yarns, knitting needles, US#3 and # 8.
