Tyyni mittens were inspired by an ornamental pattern on a tea mug. The shapes remind me of nice, calm moments with a cup of coffee (or tea) and just being still with no hurries or need to be anywhere else.

  • The mittens are worked cuff-up with a braided cast-on, a short cuff and an afterthought thumb.
  • The sample used about 48 grams of MC and 45 of CC.

This pattern includes a short written pattern and colourwork charts. If you’ve knit mittens before you’ll be able to follow the pattern, however if you are a beginner, you might need to look for additional tips elsewhere.
