What am I missing?
Ullswater Shawl
This triangular shawl is the result of my imagination and experimentation. It features stocking stitch sections, with beautiful, graphic lace panels and a special edging. It is named after Ullswater, in the Lake District.
It is easy enough for beginning lace knitters, but advanced knitters will also find it great for a combination of TV knitting and non-TV knitting!
There is a lot of scope for playing around with this pattern - I’d love to see it with a beaded edging (bead positioning included on charts), and perhaps in two colours, with a colourful stocking stitch background and a matching but plain colour for the lace panels! You can easily make this shawl bigger or smaller, too.
The large size shawl measures 6 feet across and almost 3 feet down.
I’ve done my best to make the pattern clear and concise but if I’ve missed anything please do let me know!
