The photographs illustrate “Under the Arches” shawl made with Rico Creative Cotton Degradé (colour 2701551-1), 1 x 200g, 800m. This is a gradient yarn using different shades of one hue.

Almost any yarn can be used to make this shawl, but I would recommend using a lace weight or fingering/4ply yarn rather than a thicker, chunky weight. Allow between 800 and 1000m.

A basic to intermediate skill level of crochet is required i.e. chain stitch, double crochet, treble crochet and puff stitches (UK crochet terms). How to work the puff stitch is explained in the Abbreviations section of the pattern.
