This shrug was designed to be that little something to throw on over a tank or dress on those nice occasions, or simply when you want to look pretty!

Knitted sideways in rows, the main pattern is eye-catching with easy to make ‘faux’ cables and simple lace.

Designed for this luscious hand dyed silk yarn, directions are given both for using this yarn, as well as for yarns that will not grow upon washing/blocking.

The instructions for the main body patt are charted as well as written.

The main body of the shrug is knitted back and forth in rows, using 3 different needle sizes.
~The sleeves are then seamed at either side, and sts are picked up for the ribbed border.
~Directions given are for using a silk yarn which grows significantly upon washing, see notes for creating this shrug with a yarn that will not grow.
~If substituting yarns, use the washed gauge st count for your swatch.

Gauge Before washing 22 sts x 32 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Cubist Cables patt on larger needles
After washing 24 sts x 32 rows = 4” / 10cm in rib patt on smaller needles
20 sts x 28 rows = 4” / 10cm in Cubist Cables patt on larger needles
