There is something about this cardigan that reminds me of walking across campus, a pile of books in your arms, hurrying to get to the library as the chilly wind blows.
This is a bottom-up cardigan, worked flat. You start with ribbed hem, using an alternate ribbing for the cabled section. Only the front is cabled, the back and sides are stockinette, helping you make quick progress.
It’s soft and comfy with a positive ease of 2-4”/5-10cm. The cables that wrap around your neck keep you warm.
