KNITTING PATTERN for Unicorn and Happy Cloud pillows - perfect friends for Unicorn lovers.

When I made the unicorn, she felt very sleepy by the time I’d finished, so I gave her a happy friend to watch over her while she sleeps. When she wakes, what fun will be had with these two cuties?! Unicorn’s hair will certainly keep little hairdressers happy for hours!

A lovely project for improving beginners. All you need to be able to do is simple knit and purl, plus basic increases and decreases, and be able to understand basic knitting pattern instructions. The pattern includes a full tutorial with detailed instructions and colored photos to show how to assemble and finish the head.

A great project to make with a child, and a really fun way to learn how to knit! Nothing too complicated involved here, but lots of fun to be had along the way - especially the stuffing, which is really satisfying as you watch the unicorn take shape!

Finished Dimensions: Unicorn (without horn) 17” x 9.75” (43cms x 25cms); Cloud: 15”wide x 9.5” high (38cms x 24cms).

The Unicorn head is knitted with a double strand of aran or worsted weight cotton yarn (#4) using 4.5mm (US 7). The glittery hair is made with dk yarn, approx 75g each of two colours.
The Cloud is knitted with a double strand of soft chunky or bulky yarn on 8mm knitting needles (US 11). I used approx 100g.

*** You can make the pillows using any yarn you like, but do bear in mind that the finished size will vary according to your choice of yarn. The tension/gauge needs to be tight, so if you choose something different to the yarn recommended, make sure that you use needles at least one size smaller than that recommended by the yarn manufacturer.
