The unicorn lace masquerade mask uses circles, geometric shapes, and picot edging to create this majestic crochet piece. Each section of the mask is joined as you go.

THIS IS A PATTERN ONLY!

Materials:
✔ Size 10 mercerized cotton crochet thread, approximately 150 yards. (South Maid, color Delft was used in pattern)
✔ Size 1.5mm steel crochet hook
✔ Needle to sew in ends
✔ Fabric Stiffener (Stiffy Fabric Stiffener was used in pattern)
✔ sheet of cardboard
✔ Straight pins to hold mask in place for stiffening, approximately 50-80 pins.
✔ Foam brush Finished

Measurements: 7 to 7.5 inches wide at eyes, 8.5 to 9 inches high from tip of horn to bottom of mask.

Gauge: Described over pattern with measurements.

Stitches Used:
• Ch = Chain
• Sl st = Slip Stitch
• Sc = Single Crochet
• Hdc = Half Double Crochet
• Dc = Double Crochet
• Tr = Treble Crochet
• Dtr = Double Treble Crochet (Yarn over 3 times)

Special Stitch Used: • Picot = ch3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook

Join Stitches:
• Picot-join = Ch1, sl st in corresponding picot to be joined, ch1, sl st in first ch.
• Dtr-join = Yarn over 3 times, insert hook into picot to be joined, yarn over, pull up a loop, (yarn over- pull through 2 loops on hook) 4 times.
• Dc-join = yarn over, insert hook into picot to be joined, yarn over, pull up a loop, (yarn over- pull through 2 loops on hook) twice.
• Sc-join = insert hook into picot to be joined, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over-pull through 2 loops on hook.
