A sideways asymmetric shawl that uses simple garter and coloured stripes to form the pattern. Makes a great project for adventurous beginners.

YARN
Fingering weight yarn. Shown in Dye Candy Sock. Main Colour (MC) “Hibiscus”, Contrast Colour 1 (CC1) “Unicorn Massacre” and Contrast Colour 2 (CC2) “Bahama” (SW Mernio/Nylon; 100 grams; 425 metres).

Pattern requires one skein of each colour. This is a good pattern to play around with colour. You could do each stripe section in different colours using leftovers as another option.

TENSION/GAUGE
20 stitches to 24 rows = 4” / 10 cm garter stitch 4mm needles in stocking-stitch pattern.
