ERRATA: How to make button holes on the right front:

At the beginning of each 14th row of the chart, Sl1, K3 (edging), P2, cast off 2, P1, work chart across.

Row 15: work stitches as they appear, and cast on (backwards e) 2 stitches where you cast off in the previous row.

Make 4 button holes.

This sweater is knit in one piece. Start at the hem and knit - with significant waist shaping - up to the underarms, then divide the fronts from the back. The collar flaps (small extensions from the neck edge of the fronts) are joined with a 3 needle bind off, as are the front & back shoulders. Stitches are picked up along the bottom edge of the collar, and joined with a 3 needle bind off to the back neck stitches. The sleeves are knit in the round right into the garment using Wendy Bernard’s method of short rowing the sleeve caps.
