Adventure of Flower Mole

There was a lonely flower mole named “Mole” in a desert. He sometimes went to grandmother’s house in a village for fun. The old lady talked to him. “There are many beautiful flowers blooming somewhere in the world.” Mole asked her, “What is a flower?” She answered, “It’s like one on the tip of Mole’s nose.” Mole wanted to see various flowers. And he went on a journey to find flowers by himself.

Mole left Sherwood Forest of Nottinghamshire with saying goodbye to Mr. Owl who was made by the wood. He headed for London to find another flower…

This is the pattern of a brilliant hat with Union Jack color that came out in a tale that Mole met Mr.Lion in Trafalgar Square.

Techniques

The technique knitting the hat is called slst, slip one stitch knitwise. Three yarns of royal blue, red and white like the Union Jack are used. Because of the random slst, mysterious patterns will appear. The piping method is used on the bottom. Photograph commentary is included in the knitting pattern. 40 inch (100 cm) circular needle is used on the top parts. It is called the technique of magic loop. If you don’t have it, some of double pointed needles may work on behalf of it. If you get this technique as your own one, you can apply it when knitting other things with multi yarns.
