This is the knitting pattern for a tea cosy featuring a union jack. Just in time for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

If you are having a tea party to celebrate this is just what you need. How can you live without it!

Use an Aran weight (US Worsted) yarn that has a knit tension of 18 sts and 25 rows over stocking stitch on 5 mm (UK/Canada/Aus no.6, US no.8) needles.
I used King Cole Merino Blend Aran (80m/88yds per ball), 1 x 50g ball each of shades 897 Parchment, 778 Denim, and 777 Claret.

This Cosy will fit a medium size Tea Pot. The width of the cosy is approx 37.5 cm all round and 16 cm high. (Not including the bobble)
