I came up with this very simple design when knitting toe-up socks for my brother in a self-striping yarn and deciding the plain stocking stitch was to boring and it needed a plain, simple and masculine pattern without having to start all over. This pattern starts just before turning the heel and incorporates the foot and the leg, which makes it extra fun.

I will not be giving any instructions as how to knit a sock. Choose whatever method you prefer to turn the heel or form a toe.

The chart is for a size EU39 (60 stitches) but is very easy to convert to other sizes.
