Up to the mountains is a very relaxing, meditative knit that uses only a few different stitch patterns. You will get to play with your colors in micro stripes, lazy twisted rib, and of course, lots of garter to create a beautiful top town triangle.

Use 3 solids, 3 speckled, or any combination of the 3 to get a bold or blended look, whichever you prefer… our only suggestion is to LOVE all 3 yarns, all together!!

I used 3 skeins of fingering weight single ply merino in Cog Yarns. Colorways: Sandcastle, Bathing Suit and our all time favorite blue, Bradley Cooper Eyes.
Each skein was 465 yards which makes it a super light but large shawl.

You will need 3.5mm needles and a nice long cord as this shawl will grow to almost 500 sts.. but the bonus is, you won’t have to bind off that many!!
This shawl features our Rocky Mountain Turnit as a unique way to turn your shawl and work horizontal, binding off as you go.

We hope you enjoy this knit, and find some time to relax and slow down and be refreshed.

Love,
The Stitchin Sisters
