Looking for a pattern for a long, but narrow triangular scarf, I did not really find anything I really liked. So I decided to create one myself and I hope you like it, too :-)

Up To You - why this name?
When knitting this shawlette, you have the choice between 4 methods: top-down if you prefer decreasing in every row or bottom-up if you’d rather not cast on too many stitches. And you can use either charts or written-out directions for both methods.
So it is up to you to knit how you like best.

Yarn
You can use any fingering weight yarn you like, I would recommend solid or semi-solid colors rather than very variegated yarns.

Gauge
Gauge is not very important, but be sure to do the casting on / binding off loosely.

Note for knitting top-down
When binding off 3 stitches, you will actually knit 4 stitches to do this and have 1 stitch left on the right needle. This stitch is to count as the first knit stitch after the bind-off.

I uploaded an updated version to erase an error that was in the 2 “top-down” instructions: The remark at the end (third repeat of pattern A) concerns row 22 and not row 18. Sorry for the confusion.

Another update because there was a little, but confusing typing error in the written out instructions for bottum-up:
For part A, it should read “all even / right side rows (2 to 22)”. Unfortunately I typed a 20 instead of 22.

Auf der Suche nach einem eher schmalen dreieckingen Tuch hab ich nichts gefunden, das mir wirklich gefallen hat und so hab ich beschlossen, selber ein Muster zu entwickeln. Ich hoffe, es gefällt auch auch ;-)

Up To You - Warum dieser Name?
Es gibt vier Möglichkeiten, dieses Tüchlein zu stricken, von oben (viele Maschen anschlagen, die dann immer weniger werden), von unten (wenige Maschen anschlagen, die dann immer mehr werden) und jeweils mit Diagramm oder ausgeschriebener Anleitung.
Also “wie Du willst”/“Up to you”.

Wolle
Jedes Garn in Sockenwollstärke kann verwendet werden. Ich würde einfarbige oder “semi-solid”/“Ton in Ton”-Färbungen empfehlen, dann kommt das Muster besser zur Geltung.

Maschenprobe
Die Maschenprobe ist bei diesem Muster relativ unwichtig. Aber beim Maschen anschlagen bzw. abketten sollte man darauf achten, dies immer locker zu machen.
