Designed for ease and comfort in any situation, this skirt was born of an autumn in New York City - I needed something durable, washable, and heavy enough not to blow up a la Marilyn Monroe, yet still flattering and fashionable.

Hence “urban” - but Artemis because the colors, and the amazing hand dyed Alchemy yarn, reminded me of the mountains and forests that I’m more accustomed to.

This is an easy knit, worked in stockinette throughout with minimal shaping. The waist-band is an interesting technique, but I knitted this on the subway and in the car on a roadtrip, so it’s fairly simple over all.

All waist measurements can be decreased by shortening elastic inserted after knitting, and if you need a larger size, please message me and I’ll see what I can do!
