Even though this is not a scarf is definitely a Neck Warmer. It is a design intended for guys, but versatile enough that women may wear it and have a very fashionable item. It is all about materials and color play. It has an industrial Sci-Fi look that I really like. This is a very fast knit, no more than 3 hours and is great for a quick gift. The aim is to only use One Skein of Bulky yarn, but it may take more if you want to make a really big cowl.

If you so desire, you can make a single crochet border on three sides of the piece , the cast off edge and the vertical edges are perfect for this, or leave it as is. The pattern has been tested by more than one person, including myself. I hope you find excitement in this quick one skein knit.

Once blocked the neckwarmer, cowl, neck warmer, neck cuff, cuff or whatever other name there is for this garment is about :

1.Small Paton’s Classic Wool Roving in Taupe, 58 sts, 52 gms, 62 yds, 17 “ blocked.

2.Medium Chunky with Wool in Holly Berry, 70 sts, 56 grams, 65 yds, 20” blocked.

3.Large Paton’s Classic Wool Roving in Aran, 82 sts, 65 gms, 81 yds, 22 “ blocked.

4.Xtra Large Chunky with Wool in Olive, 94 sts, 60 grams, 95 yds, 24” blocked.

I think the Buttons make a big statement on this Neck Warmer, choose them wisely.
