A button attached to the back to hold the cowl on, and the right size fits nicely through the stitches. You can wear the fringe on the side or in the front.

I had some lovely huge skeins of this super soft yarn, some of it being silky & shiny, so I was determined to work with some various stitches and hooks to make some additions to my wardrobe using it. I’ll try anything and am always up to a challenge!

I feel some crocheters may use hooks that are somewhat too large for Boucle, since I’ve had great success with a little bit smaller hooks than you’d think with certain kinds. You can use big hooks with it, of course, but it depends in the stitches you’ve chosen. You simply have to feel the stitches if you can’t see them well enough, but this is not a new thing for crochet! L.B. Homespun can be like that too.
