this pdf tutorial will help you to make a newborn/ baby / sitter / toddlr bonnet just like the pictured one. depending on the yarn you choose to use it can be used as a photo prop, as a spring or autumn bonnet, or even as a thick and warm winter bonnet.

Gauge 4 in / 10cm – 22 stitches

You will need a skein of DK / light worsted yarn or sports, or fingering yarn, if you would like a lighter and daintier onesie (you just will have to use larger size knitting needles – make sure you match the gauge!).

You can use any type of yarn. You just have to make sure you get the right gauge (you will need to make a swatch and probably you will have to try several different knitting needle sizes). you will also need a cabling needle.
