Named for the snowy Mont Valin in the Saguenay region of Québec.

This reversible brioche cowl is knit in the round beginning with a few rows of garter before starting the brioche stitch in the main color. The second contrast color is introduced and the cowl continues in two-color brioche. The two colors are later swapped around (syncopation) to produce another color effect before returning to single color brioche and another sequence of garter before bind-off.

The finished cowl measures 9” high by 24” circumference.

This pattern was used to teach beginner brioche in the round.
