I’ve made the Valor Cowl a few times this year (along with the Valor Beanie and Snood; patterns available separately). The whole Valor collection is designed to use very little yarn so is perfect for those odd balls or even oddments (think multi-coloured stripes) and like the beanie, takes only a little more than a couple of hours to make. The name of the cowl? Well, the super-easy slipstitch V’s always make me think of the word Valor (and the quote at the end of this pattern). A graphic knit that looks SO much harder than it is. Also: Quick. Warm. Impressive. Who doesn’t want that?

SHAPE:
The Valor Cowl is a two colour slipstitch cowl anchored by twisted rib borders. Two different colourways are used but just one colour is worked per row meaning that the Valor Cowl is quick and easy.

SKILLS:
-knit in the round (magic loop or DPNs)
-knit through the back loop
-purl
-slip a stitch
