Inspired by the rustic cardigans of Vanessa Ives…this is a wonderfully versatile knit. Perfect for showing off those fabulous large buttons you have been keeping for a rainy day with your favourite solid, tonal, or variegated yarn!

This is a pattern for a worsted weight cardigan with raglan shaping. It is worked from the top down, flat (sleeves worked in the round).

You will cast on sts and begin sleeve ribbing repeat and body ribbing repeat. This ribbing continues throughout most of the cardigan. At back waist the ribbing increases then returns to original rib, providing some gentle waist shaping.
Once you have worked the body and sleeves, sts are picked up for the buttonbands and collar. Then all that is left is to weave in your ends, block, sew on buttons, and enjoy your new cardigan!
