These mitts are a perfect use for that leftover sock yarn that’s not quite enough for a pair of socks but too much to just toss. The twisted ribbing that’s a key feature of the mitts provides both visual interest in the form of texture and a snug fit.

Sizes: Women’s Small (Medium, Large), to fit hand circumference of 7 (8, 9) in./18 (20.5, 23) cm

To knit this pattern, you need to know how to:

  • work in the round,
  • knit and purl
  • knit twisted stitches (ktbl) and decreases (k2tog tbl), and
  • do yarnovers.

Directions for the thumb gusset are both written and charted.
