The Venable Shawl is a crescent shape (wider at the center) with a gentle curve created by short rows.

The main lace pattern makes extensive use of tuck stitches over multiple rows. This creates gathered stitches that pull together and form attractive shapes reminiscent of flower buds.

Sample knitted in Queensland Collection Oxley and did not use all of 3 skeins.
