Vendemmia (“grape harvest” in Italian) shawl has been knitted in cotton, mainly because of warm sicilian weather, but it can be worked with any fingering yarn. A single skein/ball of sockyarn is perfect, but for a more airy look you can try with lace yarn. Total amount needed is the same.
Choose your favourite blend and colors, but the best results can be obtained with soflty variegated sockyarn or with yarn with long color runs.
