Venetia

Loom Knitting
June 2015
Worsted (9 wpi) ?
12 stitches and 12 rows = 4 inches
in garter
980 yards (896 m)
90 inches wide, 20 inches neck to bottom, 3.5 inches collar

This is a loom knit pattern.

Venetia is a large circular cape that features a beautiful panel inset in the back. The shape combines the best of a half-pi shawl with Faroese shaping. While the cape is beautiful when made in two colors, it is also easily made in just one.

Loom: ½ inch gauge loom with at least 74 pegs (CinDwood Crafts 90 peg baby afghan loom used for sample)

Yarn: 980 yards worsted weight wool yarn; 740 yards for the main color and 240 yards for the contrast color; sample made with Stonehedge Fiber Mills Shepherd’s Wool in Antique Rose and Cantaloupe.

Notions:
Loom tool
Crochet hook
1 moveable peg marker
6 stationary peg markers
Embroidery needle

Venetia is part of the e-book “Loom Knit Shawls III: Romance”. This e-book is comes with two .pdf files, a large print (24 point font) version, and a paper-saver (12 point font) version.
