This is a loom knit pattern.

Venetia is a large circular cape that features a beautiful panel inset in the back. The shape combines the best of a half-pi shawl with Faroese shaping. While the cape is beautiful when made in two colors, it is also easily made in just one.

Loom: ½ inch gauge loom with at least 74 pegs (CinDwood Crafts 90 peg baby afghan loom used for sample)

Yarn: 980 yards worsted weight wool yarn; 740 yards for the main color and 240 yards for the contrast color; sample made with Stonehedge Fiber Mills Shepherd’s Wool in Antique Rose and Cantaloupe.

Venetia is part of the e-book “Loom Knit Shawls III: Romance”. This e-book is comes with two .pdf files, a large print (24 point font) version, and a paper-saver (12 point font) version. It is screen reader and tablet friendly. Also included are diagrams of all six patterns, and a full photo gallery.

My patterns are low vision and screen reader accessible. The text is black, Arial and large print 24 point font. All of the directions are fully written out and no charts are relied on to complete the patterns. No italics are used. They are screen reader and tablet friendly.
