About the Pattern
Show your guild pride in this easy to knit, casual VESSST! Sizes are given for both men and women. Skills include knitting in the round, adding stripes in the round, decreasing, stranded knitting (optional), reading a simple color chart (optional), casting on and binding off. If you are new to knitting sweaters, this simple vest is the perfect place to start.

Materials
Yarn Weight
Select a worsted weight yarn. Be sure to test the color fastness of the yarn that you choose. To knit in an animal fiber that is also machine washable, it is recommended that you select a Superwash merino wool.

Suggested Yarns:
Frog Tree Pediboo Worsted, 80% Superwash Merino Wool, 20% Bamboo (100g/182yds)
Color A: 1325 (Burnt Orange)
Color B: 1311 (Cream)

Paton’s Classic Wool Worsted, 100% Pure New Wool, (100g/210yds)

Needles
US 7 / 4.5 mm circular needles (or size needed to obtain gauge)
US 5 / 3.75 mm 16” circular needles used for ribbing, armhole and neckline (DPNs in the same size may also be used for the armhole)
